There are events that happen in our lives that we can’t control.
The only thing that we can control, is our response to them.
Here are a few ways to help control our response to living through a global pandemic:
1.) TURN OFF THE NEWS-so many of us constantly check the news. It’s nothing but doom and gloom. Give yourself a specified time of day that you are going to check the news. After that, don’t check it the rest of the day. Instead, listen to or read things that will improve your mindset.
2.) BE ACTIVE-lift weights, move around! Get some kind of physical activity in for 30-60 min. daily.
3.) WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU’RE THANKFUL FOR-even though things are challenging right now, we still are ridiculously blessed. We have A/C, a roof over our heads, and access to take out. Focus on what you have instead of what you don’t.
4.) CONNECT WITH OTHERS-humans weren’t made to live in isolation. Use google hangouts, zoom, facetime, etc. to connect with others via technology.
5.) SERVE OTHERS-look for ways to serve others in your community. This gives you a sense of purpose, reduce stress, and bless someone else’s day.
